Zusammenfassung

MRC Polymers in Romeoville, IL is seeking a Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator to support purchasing activities and coordinate inbound logistics for the facility. You will act as the main liaison among Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving, Accounting, suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure materials are purchased, received, documented, and processed on time.

The role covers PO management, inbound freight scheduling, supplier communication, and reporting.

Qualifikationen

Experience in purchasing, procurement support, logistics, or related roles.
Experience creating and maintaining purchase orders.
Experience coordinating inbound freight and working with carriers or TMS.
Manufacturing/warehouse environment experience preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Aufgaben

Generate and maintain purchase orders accurately and timely.
Coordinate material requirements and supplier documentation.
Communicate with suppliers on orders and shipment status.
Follow up on outstanding orders and delivery dates.
Maintain purchasing records and reports.
Coordinate inbound material samples with suppliers.
Organize and track lab samples and documentation.
Maintain inbound cost-per-pound report.
Identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
Coordinate inbound receiving and freight scheduling.
Monitor open action items and report issues.
