Job summary

NewStar Sourcing and Service, LLC. is seeking a Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator to support multiple departments in determining supply needs, placing orders, and aiding in contract management.

The role involves tracking inventory, arranging freight, and ensuring timely vendor communication. The ideal candidate will be organized, able to multitask, and have strong written and verbal communication skills, with familiarity in the supply chain and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar position desired.
• Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of the supply chain, and common issues surrounding it, desired.
• The ability to multitask and shift priorities, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Take supply requests from departments, determining need.
• Place orders, follow up on delays, and maintain strong working relationships with vendors.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels, ordering an appropriate amount of product before it is at critical levels.
• Evaluate offers from multiple vendors, determining the best place to order based on price and quality, conducting research as necessary to find an appropriate supplier.
• Manage vendor contracts, as needed.
• Arrange and manage freight.
