Job summary

Brady Corporation, a global industrial technology leader based in Milwaukee, seeks a Purchasing Supervisor to oversee procurement across multiple product lines. You will lead a team of buyers, implement purchasing strategies, and optimize inventory, on-time delivery, and process efficiency to enhance operations.

You'll drive end-to-end procurement from requisition to delivery, evaluate suppliers, and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment.
• Strong forecasting and MRP understanding.
• Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and lead a project.
• Ability to manage multiple changing priorities.
• Proficient in SAP planning and production functionality and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate purchasing staff.
• Direct daily workflow and schedules of the department.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address disciplinary issues.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies.
• Ensure compliance with organizational procurement policies and procedures.
• Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to delivery.
• Evaluate suppliers based on quality, timeliness, and price.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
• Manage inventory levels to minimize costs and ensure availability.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• May be involved in developing and implementing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
• May research and evaluate vendors to compare pricing and services.
• May be required to perform other related duties as assigned
