Job summary

Brady Corporation in Louisville seeks a Production Supervisor to lead the plant floor, coordinate teams and ensure safe, efficient production aligned with ISO practices.

You will monitor quality, safety, and performance while directing workflows, expediting schedules, and optimizing resource use to meet KPIs for internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 5 years supervisory experience.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience including 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Google suite preferred.
• SAP experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Inventory management such as: Cycle Count, Material Movement Transactions and Delivery Routes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate plant activities to support efficient production operations.
• Expedite operations delaying schedules and adjust staffing to meet conditions.
• Produce quality materials by following ISO practices and conform to procedures.
• Partner with Production Specialists to ensure project status and resource utilization.
• Plan workflow for departments per established sequences and lead times.
• Aim to achieve key performance indicators.
• Collaborate to meet internal/external customer needs and focus on SQDCC.

Job description

This individual supervises and directs team members while overseeing manufacturing operations. The Production Supervisor spends a majority of their time leading teams and coordinating the activities of the production floor. Monitors quality levels, safety, production and the performance of team members.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Responsible for the supervision and coordination of activities of the plant, including schedules to support efficient production operations
• Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters staffing to meet unforeseen conditions
• Responsible for producing quality materials by following ISO practices, eliminate non-value added activity and is held accountable for compliance to specification and conformance to policies and procedures
• Partners with other Production Specialists to ensure status of assigned projects, resolve problems affecting production schedules, effective utilization of resources, inventory assets and capital equipment resources
• Plans workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times
• Responsible for achieving key performance indicators
• Collaborates with the other team members to understand the critical needs of the internal and external customers. Assumes major responsibility for SQDCC (safety, quality, delivery, cost and cash)

What You Will Need To Be Successful:
