George T. Sanders Company is seeking a hands-on Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing, supplier relationships, and warranty returns.

This role supports reliable product availability and disciplined inventory investment, working closely with the Director of Supply Chain and Inventory Control to meet branch needs and improve replenishment. The ideal candidate has several years in wholesale purchasing, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and experience with ERP systems.

Formación

• Five or more years of purchasing, inventory or supply chain experience in wholesale distribution.
• Two years of team leadership experience.
• Plumbing, hydronics, and HVAC knowledge preferred.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and financial skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
• Public relations experience is a plus.
• Education or supply chain certification is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop the purchasing team, manage open orders and supplier commitments.
• Plan purchases around forecasts, demand, and lead times; negotiate pricing, rebates and terms.
• Collaborate on replenishment, lead times, usage adjustments, and inventory accuracy.
• Coordinate and manage efficient distribution from suppliers and within GTS infrastructure.
• Execute surplus reduction through returns, rotations, transfers, and order adjustments.
• Support SKU additions and product transitions; drive inventory investigations.
• Lead procurement matters related to Affiliated Distributors (AD).
• Partner with Accounting on accruals and remittances; manage warranties and returns.
• Monitor supplier delivery, quality and shipping accuracy; create a vendor scorecard.
• Communicate price changes, freight, lead times and warranty updates.
• Maintain documented procedures and auditable purchasing records.
