Job summary

AMETEK Process Instruments in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Buyer to execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodities. You will place purchase orders, expedite material to meet production needs, and maintain procurement data in the ERP system to support inventory objectives.

The role requires at least 5 years in purchasing in manufacturing, a Bachelor's in supply chain or related field, and experience with PCBA, machined parts, electronics.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ Buyer or Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or similar preferred.
• Experience executing sourcing strategies and buying domestically and internationally.
• CPM, APICS, CPSM or equivalent certification preferred.
• Knowledge of purchasing PCBA’s, Machined Parts, Electronics, and Metal Components.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the ERP system to place Purchase Orders and meet production material needs.
• Expedite item shortages and vendor commitments with urgency.
• Coordinate with Sourcing Manager to align purchase plan with strategic plan.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Finance, Engineering, Procurement.
• Maintain procurement data and reorder point/quantity data in ERP.
