Job summary

Arista Air Conditioning, LLC is seeking a Purchasing Agent for our Long Island, NY location. The role focuses on analyzing and executing service parts inventory procurement to support sales plans and inventory goals.

You will leverage data, analytics, and strong vendor communication to meet stocking policies while maintaining, and communicating, inventory tracking statistics. Key tasks include sourcing vendors, negotiating pricing, issuing purchase orders, and monitoring deliveries.

Qualifications

• Strong vendor management and relationship building skills including negotiation and influencing skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong MS Office skills – Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint – ability to work with spreadsheets, import/extract data, generate pivot tables, charts and graphs

Responsibilities

• Source vendors and negotiate competitive pricing for products and services
• Issue, review, and verify purchase orders for accuracy
• Evaluate vendor performance and identify preferred suppliers
• Monitor order status and follow up to ensure timely delivery
• Assist Service Coordination team in expediting parts to support daily revenue planning
