Job summary

StationServ is seeking a Purchasing Agent in Memphis, TN to source and purchase parts, equipment, materials, and supplies. You will manage purchase orders, vendor quotes, and inventory in the system to ensure timely delivery for field teams and customers.

The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with vendors and internal teams. A high school diploma is required, with a preferred associate degree and Sage 100/Excel experience.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of purchasing, parts, inventory, or related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree in business, supply chain, accounting, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase parts, equipment, materials, and supplies based on job, work order, customer, and stock requirements.
• Obtain and compare vendor quotes for pricing, availability, and lead times; recommend vendors.
• Issue, track, and expedite purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery; communicate delays and backorders.
• Research aging open purchase orders and resolve them appropriately.
• Allocate items on order to jobs, work orders, and customer sales tickets; create internal sales tickets.
• Receive incoming inventory into the system with supporting documentation and transfers.
• Post warranty and core accounting adjustments with Accounting and warehouse teams.
• Manage parts-related activity on the dispatch board; coordinate with dispatch and field teams.
• Identify and report major discrepancies, over-shipments, and substitutions to Purchasing Manager.
• Complete damaged-goods and in-transit damage claims with vendors/Carriers.
• Order office and building supplies and schedule maintenance as assigned.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and daily filing of receivers, transfers, PO’s, and job tickets.
• Respond to calls and emails; assist other departments with parts and purchasing questions.
• Foster a team-oriented, collaborative work environment; promote StationServ culture.
