Job summary

Amerhart, an SBP Brand, is seeking a Purchasing Specialist for the Sheboygan Falls location to issue POs, reconcile with vendor acknowledgements, and manage scheduling tasks for manufacturing. The role reports to the Estimating Team Manager and supports a market-leading panel processor and wood product manufacturer.

Responsibilities include improving scheduling, forecasting, and inventory control, plus negotiating with suppliers.

Qualifications

HS diploma or HS GED required.
Associate degree in supply chain management preferred.
3-5 years inventory control experience and/or planning in manufacturing.
Experience in planning, scheduling, shipping, receiving, capacity planning, inventory control and purchasing in ERP environment.
Strong math and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Focus daily on reporting and improving internal scheduling, inventory, and supply chain issues.
Manage scheduling, forecasting, inventory control accuracy, and purchasing to optimize material flow.
Analyze product trends to optimize inventory levels at the local manufacturing and distribution center.
Coordinate with Branch Management, Sales, Central Buyers and customers to meet production needs.
Maintain inventory accuracy through AP reconciliation and open PO lists.
Negotiate quality, pricing and delivery of raw materials with suppliers and Central Buyers.
