Job summary

Snelling is seeking an experienced Purchasing Coordinator in Lubbock, TX to manage purchase orders, work with domestic and international suppliers, and ensure materials arrive on time to support production. Qualifications

• 3-5 years of purchasing/procurement experience.
• Manufacturing or industrial purchasing experience preferred.
• Experience with MRP, inventory planning, and purchase orders.
• Knowledge of metals, alloys, castings, or manufactured components is a plus.
• Strong supplier communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organization, accuracy, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, maintain, and track purchase orders.
• Coordinate purchasing needs using MRP, forecasts, inventory levels, and production demand.
• Communicate with domestic and international suppliers regarding pricing, availability, shipping, and delivery.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotes and maintain supplier pricing.
• Monitor order status and expedite materials when necessary.
• Track supplier shipments and resolve delivery or order discrepancies.
• Review and resolve supplier invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and shipping documentation.
• Monitor supply levels and purchase maintenance, repair, and operating supplies.
• Provide purchasing updates to production and management.
