Job summary

Vermillion, Inc. in Wichita, KS is seeking a Buyer who supports the Purchasing Department and internal customers. The role emphasizes organization, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in purchasing or estimating, strong Excel and Office skills, and familiarity with MRP/ERP systems. You will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to maintain records and ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (at minimum) with 2+ years in purchasing or estimating.
• Experience in manufacturing or technical industries preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Excel; strong data skills.
• Familiar with MRP/ERP systems and supplier management.
• Excellent communication and multi-tasking under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Initiate purchase orders for supplies, parts, services, and equipment.
• Ensure shipments align with vendor schedules and on-time delivery.
• Maintain purchasing and estimating records and vendor logs.
• Maintain library of purchasing/estimating materials and sources.
• Assist with supplier appraisal and negotiation; support planning with estimates.
