Job summary

Electronic Power Design, Inc. (EPD) is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to support procurement operations to ensure materials are available for production and projects.

You will manage purchase orders, maintain vendor relationships, support inventory accuracy and coordinate procurement with cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes problem-solving, supplier collaboration, and driving operational efficiency within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, planning, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP systems and MRP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and release purchase orders for inventory, production, sales orders, and subcontracted services.
• Monitor material demand and procurement requirements using MRP systems and ERP tools.
• Obtain vendor acknowledgments and maintain accurate due dates and purchasing records.
• Utilize preferred suppliers and approved sourcing strategies to optimize cost and performance.
• Support procurement initiatives that ensure material availability and production continuity.
