Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties is seeking an Associate Director of Purchasing in Anaheim, CA for a full-time hybrid role. You will lead purchasing operations, manage inventory, vendor relationships, and drive cost savings while ensuring compliance and quality across medical services and facilities.

Responsibilities include developing purchasing strategies, negotiating terms, coordinating with accounting, and overseeing the procurement pipeline to support health centers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field required.
• 12+ years of purchasing department experience, including a minimum of 6 years in management.
• Supply chain management system implementation experience required.
• APICS/CPIM/CPSM certification a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train the purchasing department team for medical supplies, medications, equipment, and services.
• Develop purchasing strategies to achieve cost savings and efficiencies.
• Collaborate to create a sourcing roadmap and monitor bidding opportunities.
• Conduct sourcing activities: benchmarking, bidding, and negotiations with vendors.
• Maintain inventory levels and ensure regulatory compliance in procurement.
