Job summary

Corvant is seeking a Purchasing Director to lead enterprise-wide purchasing and supply chain strategy for HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical materials and subcontracted services. The role partners with Operations, Project Management, and Finance to ensure timely, cost-effective materials delivery for mission-critical projects.

Qualifications

• Develop and execute enterprise-wide purchasing strategy for HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical materials.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate supplier agreements and pricing.
• Build resilient supplier base to mitigate shortages and lead-time volatility.
• Experience in HVAC/construction industries preferred; data center experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the purchasing budget and drive cost savings and avoidance initiatives.
• Monitor market trends and adjust sourcing strategy accordingly.
• Partner with Finance and Estimating for accurate material cost forecasting.
• Lead and develop the purchasing team and establish performance standards.
• Ensure purchasing compliance with policy, contracts, and regulations.
• Develop contingency and expediting plans for long-lead or single-source materials.
• Align purchasing with project schedules through cross-functional collaboration.
