Qualifications

• High school diploma required; a four-year degree in Business, Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in construction field (at least 6 months in purchasing or estimating preferred).
• Knowledge of standard residential building practices and understanding of plans, specs, and geologic reports.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and docs; proficient with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Newstar Enterprise is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Drive down construction costs to improve efficiency and cost competitiveness.
• Recruit vendors to ensure 100% timely completion of projects.
• Maintain an adequate trade partner base to support steady construction operations.
• Maintain accurate budgets for plans and options across communities.
• Review bids from trade partners and assist Director of Purchasing with pricing.
