The incumbent will build a robust trades base, analyze proposals, review plans for discrepancies, and act as the primary negotiator for pricing and terms, with opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of purchasing experience, preferably in the homebuilding industry.
• Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Excel.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive and cooperative work relationships.
• Exemplary record of attendance and punctuality.
• Able to read plans and analyze subcontractor proposals.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trade base for competitive bidding.
• Distribute bid packages; serve as RFIs contact for assigned scopes.
• Learn SOWs for major contractors; manage supplier relations.
• Analyze subcontractor proposals and bid analyses; identify solutions.
• Negotiate with trade partners to achieve favorable terms and pricing.
• Ensure product specification change requests are processed.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
