Job summary

Homes by WestBay is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator in Riverview, FL to join the purchasing team. The role focuses on bid evaluation, vendor negotiations, contractor selection, and contract documentation to secure best value at fair costs.

You will manage contracts, work orders, purchase orders, and expense controls while collaborating with Product Development/Design/Accounting to establish pricing and budgets for assigned communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s in Business/Engineering/Construction Management preferred.
• Minimum 1 year construction field experience; purchasing or estimating preferred.
• Familiarity with residential construction practices and reading house plans.

Responsibilities

• Drive down construction costs to improve efficiency.
• Recruit vendors to ensure 100% on-time completion.
• Maintain trade partner base for steady construction flow.
• Maintain accurate plan-specific budgets and procurement records.
• Review bids and establish pricing with vendors and departments.
• Manage contracts, work orders, purchase orders and expenses.
