Job summary

CenterPoint Marketing is seeking a dynamic Purchasing Agent to join our team in Woodbury, MN. This role purchases materials, supplies and services for bespoke tradeshow exhibits, maintains inventory, and processes orders using NetSuite.

You will work cross-functionally with shop and project managers, evaluate vendors, negotiate pricing and terms, track SDS and hazardous materials, and ensure accurate documentation. We offer a strong benefits package and an inclusive, growth‑focused workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of Purchasing/Procurement experience required.

Responsibilities

• Purchase items, maintain inventory levels, and reorder supplies as needed.
• Record goods in NetSuite with quantities, condition, and documentation.
• Allocate inventory to jobs and issue/remove from inventory.
• Track purchases of hazardous materials and maintain SDS records.
• Ensure all purchasing documents have terms and conditions.
• Monitor inventory vs physical counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain inventory levels.
• Evaluate vendors based on price, reliability, capabilities, and past performance.
• Maintain vendor, pricing, and discount records; support cost efficiency.
• Negotiate competitive pricing and payment terms with vendors.
• Collaborate with shop and project managers to maintain production equipment.
• Conduct market research for new products/materials used in exhibits.
• Monitor and order office supplies as needed.
• Provide backup to Purchasing Manager and maintain workflow continuity.
• Model and promote company core values across interactions.
