Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC is seeking a smart, market-driven Strategic Purchaser to manage and grow our e-commerce and dropship purchasing program. This role goes beyond ordering from a price list; you will navigate a dynamic market, identify opportunities, and own purchases from start to finish.

You will monitor market pricing, build a broad supplier network, negotiate favorable terms, and balance inventory with cash flow.

Qualifications

• Strong market instincts and the ability to identify and negotiate deals.
• Ability to act quickly, make independent decisions, and take responsibility for results.
• Strong supplier relationships and understanding of margins, inventory turns, cash flow, and risk.
• Organized, analytical, and able to communicate purchasing decisions clearly.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to share information to scale purchasing.
• Plus: experience in product trading, closeout stock, or retail arbitrage.

Responsibilities

• Stay on top of market pricing, trends, promotions, and supply and demand.
• Decide when to buy, wait, or pass on deals, and determine stock quantities.
• Build and maintain a broad network of distributors, wholesalers, traders, and other reliable suppliers.
• Negotiate competitive pricing and terms with suppliers.
• Take ownership of the financial outcome of each purchase.
• Monitor inventory, sales trends, market prices, and product movement.
