Job summary

ExcelliSearch, Inc. is seeking a Strategic Purchaser to manage and grow our e-commerce and dropship purchasing program. You will analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and own purchases from start to finish to maximize margins and inventory turns.

You’ll build direct distributor networks, negotiate favorable terms, and coordinate with sales to move stock efficiently in a dynamic electronics market.

Qualifications

• Strong market instincts and ability to identify and negotiate deals.
• Ability to act quickly, make independent decisions, and take responsibility for results.
• Strong supplier relationships and understanding of margins, inventory turns, cash flow, and risk.
• Organized, analytical, and able to communicate purchasing decisions clearly.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to scale the purchasing operation.
• Experience in product trading, collector/closeout stock, or e-commerce sourcing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stay on top of market pricing, trends, promotions, and supply/demand.
• Decide when to buy, wait, or pass on a deal, and determine stock quantities.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with distributors, wholesalers, traders, and suppliers.
• Take ownership of the financial outcome of purchases and inventory arrivals.
• Monitor inventory, market prices, and product movement to optimize moves.
• Coordinate with sales and other teams before buying and when inventory needs to be sold.
• Identify new brands, products, and trends and test opportunities in controlled quantities.
