Job summary

The State of Ohio’s Department of Children and Youth seeks a Human Services Administrator 1 to lead and coordinate statewide professional development initiatives. This role blends strategic planning, project management, cross-agency collaboration, and data-driven decision making.

You will supervise staff, manage contracts, and report on program outcomes while coordinating with DCY leadership and external partners to advance workforce development across Ohio.

Qualifications

• 72 mos. exp. in researching, developing or implementing policies related to human services, social services, health services, public policy or comparable field.
• 12 mos. exp. in managing delivery of human services program in a governmental, community or private human support services agency; supervisory/managerial principles & techniques.
• Or equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement DCY’s professional development initiatives aligned with statewide goals.
• Manage multiple professional development projects, define requirements, timelines, and budgets.
• Engage with DCY leadership, legislators, providers and state agencies; represent the Bureau at statewide conferences.
