Job summary

The Office of the County Auditor in Anne Arundel County is seeking a Senior Performance Auditor (Legislative Audit Manager) to lead moderately complex performance audits and legislative analysis in a government setting.

You will plan audits, review budgets and expenditures, evaluate internal controls, and present findings to the County Council and officials. A four-year degree and 5+ years of accounting or auditing experience are required; professional certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and GAGAS.
• Demonstrates excellent analytical skills for interpreting financial data.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct moderately complex performance audits and legislative analyses.
• Evaluate internal controls and program effectiveness; review budgets and expenditures.
• Prepare formal reports with findings and recommendations for leadership and stakeholders.
• Attend meetings with County Council and officials to present results and respond to inquiries.
• Collaborate with County offices and external bodies to complete projects.
