Job summary

The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) seeks an experienced Agency Procurement Officer to direct and manage the agency's contract and procurement portfolio in Springfield. Qualifications

• Requires four years of college education or equivalent.
• Experience in purchasing and contract lifecycle management in a public or private agency.
• Strong supervisory and negotiation skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee procurements and contract lifecycles per Illinois Procurement Code and IGA requirements.
• Negotiate and bind the agency to contractual agreements and operational arrangements.
• Supervise professional staff and administer the Office of Strategic Sourcing activities.
• Develop strategic sourcing strategies to meet operational needs.
