Job summary

The City of Charlotte seeks a seasoned procurement professional to manage complex solicitation packages for materials, services, construction and commodities. You will analyze proposals, develop project timelines, and ensure compliance with federal and local policies while coordinating with City Legal, Risk Management, and stakeholders.

Key duties include supplier relations, contract development, and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or procurement.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, supplier management, analytics, ERP administration, or related operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with project managers, division heads, and directors to deliver optimal procurement outcomes.
• Supervise procurement project activities and maintain a working portfolio.
• Provide support and training to meet performance measures.
• Prepare recommendations of award for informal and formal projects and conduct quality control reviews.
• Provide strategic consultation for procurement decisions, planning, and contract requirements.
• Manage procurement activities per applicable laws, policies, and best practices.
• Develop solicitation documents and facilitate solicitation processes as required.
• Develop and negotiate all contractual documents as needed.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies in collaboration with City departments.
