Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Principal, Public Policy to lead public policy campaigns and external engagement in New York and across Northeastern states. The role will educate state and local policymakers on issues impacting customers and the business, and align engagement strategies across teams.

You will design and run campaigns, manage relationships with coalitions and think tanks, and translate complex legislation into real world impact for consumers and small businesses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant discipline (e.g. Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, Economic Development).
• 12+ years of public policy or public affairs experience with understanding of US state and local policymaking.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage state and local public policy campaigns, educating policymakers and others about key issues.
• Partner with trade associations, think tanks, nonprofits, and coalitions on policies benefiting consumers, small businesses, and communities.
• Coordinate campaign execution across public policy, communications, legal, and business teams with clear ownership and timelines.
• Travel to various states as required.
