Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Bachelor's, Master’s or higher degree options listed with experience requirements.
• Experience in public information, media relations, public affairs, journalism, or strategic communications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes integrated communications plans for Parks & Recreation that align with city priorities and team goals.
• Maintains proactive content and media calendars; coordinates with City Communications for consistent messaging.
• Builds relationships with department heads and City leadership to support sensitive issues.
• Monitors performance metrics and media inquiries; reports outcomes and adjusts tactics.
