Job summary

Haley & Aldrich seeks a Proposal Manager to lead high-value pursuits and translate complex technical concepts into compelling client-focused narratives. You will collaborate with engineers, scientists, and business developers to shape strategies, win themes, and differentiators for diverse projects.

The role requires strong facilitation, writing, and analytical skills, with hybrid work from the Seattle area and flexibility across West Coast offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience; 4 years in AEC proposal development, pursuit management, marketing, communications, or related professional-services experience.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical judgment; ability to question weak assumptions, recycled content, unsupported messaging, and drafts that merely restate the RFP.
• Excellent writing and editing skills with ability to produce concise, client-focused content.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, high-value pursuits from capture planning through proposal submission, interview preparation, and post-submittal evaluation.
• Develop tailored pursuit strategies, win themes, value propositions, and messaging to improve responsiveness and client relevance.
• Facilitate kickoff meetings, strategy sessions, and reviews to produce clear decisions and align around differentiated approaches.
• Translate complex technical information into concise, client-focused narratives for proposals.
• Manage pursuit schedules, reviews, production, compliance, and submission requirements.
• Support interview planning and team coaching.
