Haley & Aldrich is seeking a Proposal Manager to lead the development of compelling proposals for engineering and environmental consulting services. You will collaborate with engineers, scientists, and business developers to translate complex concepts into clear client-focused messages.

This full-time, hybrid role is based on the West Coast with offices including Seattle, Portland, Walnut Creek, Oakland, and others.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
8+ years relevant experience, 4+ in AEC proposal development.
Strong critical thinking and analytical judgment.
Excellent writing and editing skills, client-focused content.
Demonstrated success developing opportunity-specific pursuit strategies and differentiators.
Strong organizational discipline and ability to manage multiple pursuits and deadlines.
Hybrid schedule to Seattle office.

Responsibilities

Lead complex, high-value pursuits from capture planning to submission.
Analyze RFP requirements and client priorities to develop tailored strategies.
Facilitate kickoff meetings and strategy sessions to produce clear decisions.
Partner with technical teams to define client challenges and differentiators.
Translate technical information into concise client-focused narratives and content.
Identify gaps and guide teams toward credible, differentiated content.
Manage pursuit schedules, reviews, production, and submission requirements.
Support interview planning and preparation, including coaching and rehearsals.
Conduct post-submittal evaluations and apply lessons learned.
