Job summary

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a Marketing and Proposal Coordinator to join the Midwest Northeast team. This role drives pursuit strategy from capture planning to proposal development, ensuring client-focused narratives and coordinated marketing efforts across regions.

Ideal candidates bring strong writing and project management skills, experience with CRM and AI-enabled tools, and a collaborative approach with technical teams. Hybrid/remote work with regional travel is possible.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating or leading proposals, pursuits, or business development in a technical professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of the pursuit lifecycle from planning to submission.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to turn input from multiple contributors into clear, client-focused content.
• Strong project management, organization, and attention to detail, including managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience with AI-enabled tools and CRM systems is a plus.
• Background in environmental consulting, architecture, engineering, construction, or related professional services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead processes and projects within Marketing & Pursuit Resources from start to finish, coordinating pursuits, proposals, business development efforts, marketing campaigns, brand-building events, and multimedia projects.
• Demonstrate strong technical proficiency in pursuits strategy and development, including knowledge of fundamental theories, practices, procedures, and concepts.
• Support leaders in strategy development using market research to guide decisions.
• Make decisions within guidelines to meet deadlines and priorities.
• Delegate tasks to Marketing Specialists with oversight.
• Ensure all marketing activities comply with legal standards and SWCA requirements.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior staff and new team members.
• Write non-technical content for pursuits, proposals, and marketing materials.
• Follow regulations, standards, and specifications.
• Perform related work as assigned.
