Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Proposal Development Manager in Minneapolis, MN to lead the proposal development team and ensure high-quality, on-time responses. You will manage writers, coordinate schedules, and align with proposal strategy across departments.

You will provide editorial leadership for complex opportunities and help maintain consistent messaging while collaborating with Sales, Legal, Risk, Marketing, and SMEs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in proposal writing, proposal management, business writing, or related discipline.
• Strong writing, editing, and executive communication skills.
• Experience leading proposal writers or similar teams.
• Experience managing multiple RFPs, RFIs, or complex client deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage, coach, and develop proposal writers.
• Oversee workload and assignment distribution across the team.
• Monitor deadlines, content development, review cycles, and submission requirements.
• Provide hands-on support for complex, high-value proposals when needed.
• Coach writers on translating product/technical information into client-focused messaging.
