Job summary

Comstock Holding Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to act as a key operational resource across communities.

You will support day-to-day site operations, lead due diligence for acquisitions, assist with lease-ups, and ensure consistency across the portfolio. You will mentor on-site teams, coordinate transitions, and drive operational improvements while leveraging Yardi and related platforms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; college degree preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive property management experience, with at least two years at a Residential Class A property.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience managing a team.
• Experience with financial statements, budgeting, and general accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide interim operational support at assigned communities during staffing transitions or lease-ups.
• Mentor on-site teams to ensure operational excellence and compliance with standards.
• Partner with Portfolio Managers to identify operational challenges and implement action plans.
• Lead due diligence for acquisitions: site walks, audits, staffing reviews, risk identification.
• Coordinate pre-close and post-close transitions, including system setup and training.
• Assist with lease-up efforts to meet leasing goals and compliance requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and file reviews with improvement recommendations.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training for on-site teams.
• Support implementation of company systems (Yardi, CRM IQ, etc).
• Monitor metrics: occupancy, collections, resident satisfaction, maintenance, online reputation.
• Develop and implement recommendations for underperforming communities.
• Foster relationships with residents, teams, ownership, vendors, and partners.
