Worth Ross Management Company is seeking an experienced Controller of Property Accounting to lead our growing property accounting team. This role oversees all aspects of property accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification is required.
• 10+ years progressive accounting/finance experience with leadership.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience leading multiple accounting functions and audits.
• Technological aptitude with automation implementation.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all property accounting operations.
• Lead and develop managers and accounting teams across functions.
• Ensure timely month-end closings and delivery of client statements.
• Strengthen internal controls to safeguard client assets.
• Collaborate with executives to improve financial performance.
• Oversee treasury operations and banking relationships.
• Direct compliance activities related to audits.
• Drive process improvements and automation using technology/AI.
• Develop KPIs and performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Collaborate with vendors to enhance systems and processes.
