Job summary

McLane Company, Inc in Rocky Mount, NC is seeking a Program Planner to ensure adequate inventory of all new or promotional products across locations, supporting marketing efforts and managing sell-through to reduce obsolescence. You will coordinate with chain personnel, suppliers, and internal teams to forecast, purchase, and track inventory, communicate promotions, and monitor builds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business or related field.
• Two years purchasing experience in a high-volume environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong computer literacy with demonstrated ability in working with spreadsheets.
• Prior foodservice industry experience in procurement, operations or sales.
• This position requires English reading/writing proficiency at work.

Responsibilities

• Work with chain on promotions and menu changes. Ensure information provided is accurate and sufficient to support the planned activity.
• Review and monitor new item and/or new vendor set up requests for reasonableness and data accuracy.
• Analyze and load promotional forecast data into purchasing system.
• Purchase or monitor the purchase of all items across all divisions to support chain promotions.
• Communicate timing and special circumstances of promotions to all affected parties.
• Coordinate auto-shipments, restrictions or allocations to support chain or tight supplies.
• Work with C.O.M. Team to ensure accuracy of customer order guides.
• Participate in chain and/or concept purchasing group conference calls.
• Determine franchise- and store-level participation in promotions and ensure documentation.
• Responsible for billing and collection of funds from inventory transfers and related activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
