Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Operations Development and Initiatives Manager in Bolingbrook/Chicago to oversee cross-functional retail operations initiatives. You will design, scope, and lead key projects from concept to closure, driving timelines, budgets, and stakeholder alignment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or PMP certification (or 3+ years of equivalent experience) and proficiency with project tools. A hybrid work arrangement with on-site presence 6 days per month is involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, PMP certification or 3+ years of equivalent experience.
• Experience with project software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet).
• Strong communication and presentation skills (including PowerPoint).
• Proven ability to drive success through collaboration, influence, and relationship-building.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse teams.
• Strategic mindset balancing long-term objectives with immediate business needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across functions to design, scope and propose key initiatives prior to project kick-off.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables and success criteria with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project charters, roadmaps, plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Lead end-to-end project execution from initiation through closure and monitor progress.
• Identify and elevate risks/issues to minimize disruption to objectives and guest experience.
