Job summary

Novartis in East Hanover, NJ is seeking an ED, US Strategic Projects Lead to steer the US Strategic Projects team and ensure prioritized enterprise projects are framed, resourced, governed, and delivered with measurable impact. You will own the strategic project delivery model, allocate resources across Directors and Analysts, set engagement standards, and align sponsors to deliver implementation handoffs.

Expect collaboration with senior leaders and a four-project-per-quarter capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required; advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years in strategy consulting, corporate strategy or related leadership.
• Experience leading senior, cross-functional initiatives in a matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Define the US Strategic Projects operating model, intake standards, staffing, cadence, gates, and quality.
• Select, scope, and mobilize priority strategic projects with sponsors and clear outcomes.
• Lead the portfolio of strategic projects, managing throughput, risks, dependencies and escalations.
• Guide directors and teams through high-stakes work with structured problem framing and data-backed recommendations.
• Ensure outputs become implementation-ready roadmaps with KPIs, owners, and governance handoffs.
• Build internal strategy project capability to reduce reliance on external consultants.
