Job summary

Central Transport LLC is seeking a Special Projects Manager to lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that improve operational excellence, cost efficiency, service quality, and strategic growth across the organization. This role partners with executive leadership, terminal management, and corporate teams to plan and execute projects that directly impact performance.

Hours vary by project; travel is required with a 3-week cycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in LTL transportation, logistics, operations management, or project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with TMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support terminal leadership by standardizing procedures and educating staff to ensure KPI improvements.
• Utilize data analytics to structure staff schedules aligning with arrival patterns.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize dock layout and reduce congestion.
• Ensure audit compliance and maintain a safe, clean facility.
• Provide daily KPI feedback to terminal management at the largest facilities.
• Support terminal startups, expansions, and major process changes.
