Job summary

TPG seeks a versatile Associate to join the Special Projects Group. The role leads cross-functional initiatives to increase revenue, mitigate risk, and enhance operational efficiency across platforms (Real Estate, Capital, Growth, Impact, and Credit).

You will manage the portfolio of firmwide projects, align with strategic objectives, and provide ongoing updates to senior management while collaborating with technology and business teams to ensure disciplined planning and execution.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of full-time work experience in consulting, strategy, project management, business transformation and/or other related fields.
• Financial services industry experience required; experience in the alternative investment management industry preferred.
• Proven track record working on large, complex, cross functional initiatives.
• Experience solving business problems and driving process improvements.
• Experience recommending solutions and facilitating decision making.
• Ability to quickly learn new subject matter as projects span varied topics and functions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively multi-task.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with management of the portfolio of firmwide projects, including prioritization, resourcing, status reporting, and communication with senior management
• Understand strategic objectives of the firm and ensure projects align to firm goals
• Serve as a primary advisor to business stakeholders during the project lifecycle and be the go-to for details and status updates on the project
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across business functions to identify and understand project impacts
• Establish end-to-end project structure, including planning, defining requirements, creating action plans, and resolving conflicts
• Coordinate with members of the project team, technology and business to ensure effective planning and execution of project tasks
• Facilitate meetings with project stakeholders and drive decisions
• Identify, monitor and manage resolution of issues. Propose and establish resolution plans and drive results
• Create and present executive-friendly deliverables
• Actively identify opportunities to improve business processes, including: Opportunities for automation through use of technology, Utilization of third-party service providers, Other process improvements that result in process efficiency and scalability
