Job summary

Hargrove in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Senior Procurement professional to lead planning and execution on major projects. The role emphasizes strategic supplier negotiations, contract terms, and mentoring the procurement team with extensive ERP experience including SAP/Ariba.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in industrial project procurement, knowledge of INCOTERMS, and a strong ability to manage procurement activities across large teams and complex contracts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in a related field from an accredited university is highly preferred.
• Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is highly preferred.
• This position requires at least 20 years of relevant industrial experience in Supply Chain Management, specifically in Project Procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement plans for the acquisition of goods and services in support of various projects.
• Interpret project scopes, statements of work and project schedules.
• Mentor less experienced Procurement Teammates.
• Lead a Procurement Team on various sizes and types of projects.
• Assist in the development of project manhour estimates.
• Negotiate with suppliers and award purchase orders.
