Job summary

Primoris Heavy Civil seeks a Procurement Manager to oversee strategic sourcing and vendor management for heavy civil projects in Louisiana. You will lead end-to-end procurement, negotiate terms, and collaborate with PMs, estimators, and engineering to meet schedule and budget.

The role requires 7–10 years in procurement, strong negotiation and ERP experience, and willingness to travel to project sites across Louisiana. Competitive compensation and safety-focused culture are offered.

Qualifications

Minimum 7–10 years of procurement experience in heavy civil construction.
Experience managing large-scale procurement for complex projects.
Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and services relevant to heavy civil projects.
Expertise in contract negotiation, vendor management, and supply chain optimization.
Proficiency with procurement software/ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Willingness to travel to project sites across Louisiana.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to heavy civil construction projects in Louisiana.
Manage end-to-end procurement from requisition to purchase order, ensuring compliance with policies and project specs.
Identify, evaluate, and qualify new and existing suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors; conduct due diligence.
Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
Prepare and issue RFPs/RFQs and bids; analyze responses and make recommendations.
Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and engineering teams to understand project needs.
Monitor supplier performance, resolve delivery or quality issues, and manage supplier relationships.
Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to support project schedules.
Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and documentation.
Stay informed of market trends, material availability, and regulatory changes.
