Job summary

Worley in Baton Rouge is seeking a Buyer II to manage procurement for energy and industrial projects. You will source engineered and non-engineered materials, negotiate terms, and collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of procurement experience, with strong knowledge of ERP systems and supplier performance management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Typically 5+ years of procurement or purchasing experience.
• Experience buying engineered and non-engineered materials and equipment.
• Knowledge of procurement principles, supplier sourcing, bidding and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing engineered and non-engineered materials, equipment, and services per project requirements.
• Identify and select qualified suppliers meeting quality, commercial, technical, and delivery expectations.
• Prepare RFQs, evaluate proposals, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Manage full procurement lifecycle from requisition to PO closeout.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, construction, expediting, logistics, QA and other teams.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues affecting schedules.
• Maintain procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Use procurement systems and digital tools to generate reports and improve efficiency.
