Job summary

Worley is seeking a Buyer I to support the successful delivery of engineering and construction projects by ensuring procurement of materials, equipment, and services is efficient, cost-effective, and on schedule. You will collaborate with experienced Supply Management professionals, build supplier relationships, and support purchasing activities in line with Worley standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
• Knowledge of procurement principles, processes and supplier management.
• Experience preparing POs, obtaining quotations, evaluating bids, and negotiating.
• Understanding of procurement documentation, contracts, and compliance.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned purchasing activities to support project and operational needs.
• Identify, evaluate, and solicit qualified suppliers for materials/equipment/services.
• Prepare, issue, and administer purchase orders per policies and project requirements.
• Obtain competitive pricing, negotiate within authority, support cost‑effective decisions.
• Monitor supplier performance for quality, price, and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, logistics, expediting, and other internal stakeholders.
• Resolve delivery issues, discrepancies, or commercial concerns promptly.
• Review supplier documentation for accuracy and completeness.
