Job summary

Optum in Puerto Rico is seeking a senior program management leader to drive strategic initiatives across cross-functional teams. You will coordinate governance, milestones, and executive reporting while shaping execution plans and measuring outcomes.

The role requires 5+ years of program management, strong stakeholder influence, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities, with a focus on healthcare operations and transformation projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience leading complex initiatives, programs, transformation, operating model work, or cross-functional execution in a matrixed organization.
• 5+ years of experience converting broad direction into executable plans, governance, accountabilities, milestones, decisions, and measurable outcomes.
• 5+ years of project or program management experience covering risks, issues, dependencies, benefits, and executive reporting.
• 3+ years of experience influencing senior stakeholders and coordinating outcomes without direct authority.
• Experience with Microsoft Tools: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during standard business operating hours, with flexibility across US time zones.

Responsibilities

• Mobilize assigned initiatives by converting priorities into clear execution plans with scope, milestones, and resources.
• Coordinate governance, decision rights, dependencies, and escalation routes to prevent delays.
• Establish governance forums, review cadences, and decision gates.
• Prepare and facilitate reviews focused on outcomes, risks, and mitigations; document actions with owners and due dates.
• Coordinate implementation across functions and monitor milestones and progress.
• Resolve gaps within delegated authority and prepare escalations when needed.
• Maintain integrated views of risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies with owners and timelines.
• Present issues with options and recommendations; track actions through closure.
• Develop dashboards and briefs showing outcomes, milestones, risks, decisions, and adoption.
