Job summary

Mutual Security Credit Union in Shelton, CT, is seeking a Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects across the organization. You will partner with teams to plan, coordinate, and implement projects, ranging from process improvements to technology enhancements, delivering meaningful value to employees and members.

The role blends leadership, problem solving, and change management, working with stakeholders, vendors, and leadership to keep projects moving forward

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably within a financial institution, credit union, banking, technology, or regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Agile, Scrum, or related certifications preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects involving multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Experience managing technology implementations, business process improvements, or organizational change initiatives.
• Vendor management and third-party coordination experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills with strong communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Planner.
• High degree of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic, operational, and technology-related projects from initiation through implementation and post-project review.
• Develop project charters, business requirements, project plans, timelines, deliverables, budgets, resource allocations, communication plans, scope, objectives, milestones, and success measurements with sponsors and stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities among internal departments, leadership, vendors, consultants, and third-party partners while managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, resource utilization, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies; provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Facilitate project meetings, establish agendas, document action items, and monitor completion of assigned tasks.
• Manage project changes by evaluating impacts to scope, schedule, budget, resources, risk, and quality; obtain approvals and escalate concerns.
• Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards and business requirements.
• Collaborate with business units to analyze processes, document workflows, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and member experience.
• Coordinate implementation of new systems, applications, products, services, and tech enhancements, including requirements gathering and testing.
