Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will help turn ideas into action by leading strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects that support the credit union’s goals. You'll partner with teams across the organization to plan, coordinate, and implement projects ranging from process improvements to technology enhancements, ensuring they are delivered successfully and provide meaningful value to employees and members.

Major Responsibilities
Project Management
  • Lead and manage strategic, operational, and technology-related projects from initiation through implementation and post-project review, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and strategic goals.
  • Develop project charters, business requirements, project plans, timelines, deliverables, budgets, resource allocations, communication plans, scope, objectives, milestones, and success measurements in collaboration with sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate activities among internal departments, executive leadership, vendors, consultants, and third-party partners while managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, resource utilization, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings, establish agendas, document action items, and monitor completion of assigned tasks.
  • Manage project changes by evaluating impacts to scope, schedule, budget, resources, risk, and quality, obtaining appropriate approvals, and escalating significant concerns when necessary.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards and business requirements.
Business Process Improvement
  • Collaborate with business units to analyze current processes, document current and future state workflows, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, effectiveness, and member experience.
  • Support implementation of process improvements resulting from project initiatives and facilitate cross-functional discussions focused on workflow optimization, operational improvements, and problem resolution.
Technology Implementation & Testing
  • Coordinate implementation of new systems, applications, products, services, and technology enhancements, including requirements gathering, solution evaluation, planning, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing, track results and issues, and work with business units, Information Technology, vendors, application owners, and technical teams to validate outcomes and support successful solution delivery and adoption.
Stakeholder Communication & Change Management
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships across the organization while promoting collaboration, consensus-building, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Communicate project objectives, timelines, expectations, risks, and outcomes to leadership, project teams, and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate organizational readiness, training, and communication efforts necessary to support adoption of new systems, processes, products, services, and project deliverables.
Governance & Reporting
  • Maintain project documentation, repositories, status reports, meeting minutes, and records while supporting portfolio reporting that provides management visibility into project status, resource capacity, and organizational priorities.
  • Ensure project activities comply with Credit Union policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements while contributing to continuous improvement of project management practices, methodologies, and reporting processes.

Position Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  2. 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably within a financial institution, credit union, banking, technology, or regulated environment.
  3. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  4. Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Agile, Scrum, or other related project management certifications preferred.
  5. Experience leading cross-functional projects involving multiple departments and stakeholders.
  6. Experience managing technology implementations, business process improvements, or organizational change initiatives.
  7. Vendor management and third-party coordination experience preferred.
