Job summary

Mercer County Community College is seeking a Project Manager, Facilities and College Safety to lead planning, budgeting and scheduling for capital and maintenance initiatives. You will coordinate with facilities, college safety, purchasing and finance to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery across administrative, construction, custodial and office services projects.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, equivalent PM experience, and advanced PM certification or related engineering/architecture

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Equivalent experience in project management.
• Current, advanced level of Project Management certification and/or an architectural or engineering degree completion status.
• Preferred experience with public purchasing and procurement and with Microsoft Project Management software.
• Maintenance administration and/or experience in managing or coordinating the delivery of facilities maintenance, construction, grounds and/or office supply services.

Responsibilities

• Direct and standardize the use of Microsoft Project management software.
• Lead development of project scope, budget, and timeline; obtain approvals.
• Collaborate with Purchasing on contractor selections (RFQs/RFPs).
• Collaborate with Finance to ensure funding for projects.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory/licensing authorities and the Facilities Master Plan.
• Arrange consultations with vendors; manage vendor relations.
• Facilitate project meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure resources are available; develop contingency plans.
• Monitor budgets, line-item accounts, and pay apps per AIA requirements.
