Job summary

Northeastern University is seeking a Project Manager to serve as the key liaison among the university, consultants and contractors. You will oversee procurement, contract administration, scope definitions, negotiations and change management to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

In a leadership and/or management capacity, you may supervise staff and coordinate cross-functional teams to forecast resources and measure outcomes, driving corrective actions where needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5–10 years in construction, architecture, or project management.
  • Ability to work independently on complex tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with diverse groups.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • May have supervisory responsibilities within project scope.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee procurement of services and contract administration.
  • Define scope, negotiate contracts, approve payments, and manage change orders.
  • Direct forecast and adjust resources to deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Develop metrics with leadership to validate outcomes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Directly lead or supervise project personnel as needed.
