Job summary

Hoar Construction is seeking a Project Controls Cost Specialist to join our team and lead forecasting, budgeting, and cost reporting across multi-site projects. You will develop WBS/CBS structures, manage cost baselines, track variances, and provide client-facing updates with clear financial narratives.

Responsibilities include preparing monthly status reports, supporting cash flow projections, and coordinating change control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of project cost controls or extensive project management in large construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management.
• Analytical skills for cost, risk and budget analyses.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce weekly, monthly and special reports for client and PM staff.
• Support claims and variance analysis reporting with MS Project, Primavera, Excel.
• Author reports based on cost, timelines, site inspections, and other data.
• Present findings to client with clear articulation.
• Develop WBS and CBS; manage cost, forecast, commitments, accruals, KPI.
• Provide monthly status reports including cost and risk from multiple sites.
• Review invoices against contract terms; manage change control and budget baselines.
• Provide cash flow projections and assist with funding planning.
• Maintain cost databases and perform accrual analysis with payment teams.
• Assist Senior Project Controls Manager with data management across sites.
