Job summary

Herzog Contracting Corp. is seeking a meticulous Project Controls Specialist in St. Joseph, MO to support cost forecasting, budgeting, and reporting across project lifecycles.

You will work with field operations, project management, estimating, and finance to standardize data and drive continuous improvement. The role requires 5+ years in construction project controls and strong Excel, with preferred exposure to Power BI/Tableau and Procore or similar platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction project controls, data analysis, estimating, finance, or project management support.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and advanced data analysis techniques.
• Strong understanding of scheduling, cost controls, forecasting, and operational reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Controls Manager and project teams with cost forecasting, budget management, cash flow tracking, and project performance reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor and analyze project costs, production quantities, labor productivity, and KPIs to identify trends and support decision-making.
• Develop and maintain project controls dashboards, reporting tools, and performance metrics for timely visibility.
• Assist with project planning, progress tracking, schedule updates, and operational reviews to support execution.
