Std Iron in Minnesota’s Monticello region seeks a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support the Project Management team in an architectural metals fabrication environment. You will serve as the central link among estimating, engineering, drafting, purchasing, production, quality, shipping, installation, customers, and vendors.

The role emphasizes proactive planning, multi-project management, and strong documentation practices to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred in related fields.
• 2+ years of experience in project coordination, administration, construction, manufacturing, architectural metals, or related industry preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities.
• Strong follow-up skills and proactive task completion.
• Ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, and multiple internal departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
• Ability to learn project management, ERP, estimating, scheduling, and document-control software.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with coordination and administration of architectural metals fabrication projects from award through completion.
• Maintain project schedules, deadlines, action items, and deliverables.
• Track project status and follow up with internal departments to ensure timely completion.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation including purchase orders, submittals, approvals, change orders, meeting notes, correspondence, schedules, and reports.
• Assist in preparing project updates, status reports, and customer communications.
• Monitor milestones and identify potential delays or outstanding items.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical project files.
• Assist with project closeout activities including final documentation and billing support.
• Coordinate day-to-day communications with customers, general contractors, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Track RFIs, submittals, approvals, revisions, and other project-related correspondence.
• Follow up on outstanding customer approvals, material selections, drawings, and project information.
• Coordinate vendor and supplier information, lead times, deliveries, and documentation.
• Maintain professional and timely communication with all stakeholders.
• Coordinate with engineering, drafting, purchasing, and production to ensure requirements are understood.
• Verify communicated drawings, specs, and material requirements across departments.
• Track material availability, procurement status, fabrication progress, and delivery dates.
• Identify potential material, production, or scheduling issues before deadlines.
• Coordinate project priorities with production and other departments.
• Assist with shipping and installation coordination including delivery schedules.
