Job summary

Novo Nordisk is seeking a Project Controls professional in the Clayton, NC area to lead and optimize project controls across expansion programs. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, risk management, cost estimation, and governance to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.

The candidate will mentor teams, manage internal and external staff, and collaborate with global PMO counterparts to improve processes and reporting. A strong background in pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of project experience required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing, engineering, or quality experience in pharmaceutical or regulated industry required.
• Knowledge of PMI/Novo Nordisk project governance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build foundations for operational project controls across all control disciplines.
• Anticipate complex project control issues affecting schedule and cost.
• Establish metrics to monitor performance and flag potential problems.
• Engage project leadership to update progress and address concerns.
• Lead day-to-day activities within the Project Controls Department.
